Description:

Next to dioptase, axinite has to be one of the more difficult minerals to photograph.  Pictured here is a crystal group of Axinite - fe where the primary crystal shines like a well dressed celebrity - and like a well dressed celebrity no damage to the termination (if that makes sense).  Crystals have a very high luster and are pleochroic.
